Mr. Michael McCormack, CEO

As CEO of MicroMax, Inc., Mike brings almost three decades of experience in software engineering, with particular expertise in real-time embedded systems.  His early career included service with the British Royal Navy’s Fleet Air Arm as well as employment with Rolls Royce (Aerospace) Ltd. and Hamilton Sundstrand.  Since 1994 he has leveraged his knowledge of mission-critical and safety-critical systems for the benefit of the automotive industry.  Mike received his BSc and his MSc from the University of Leeds, UK. 
 

Ms. Rachel McCormack, Founder and President

Since founding MicroMax, Inc., in 1997, Rachel has utilized her diverse educational background (BA, University of Leeds, UK; JD, University of Michigan, USA) and international experience to grow the company from a small consulting team to a uniquely specialized software engineering business employing dozens and with a client list that includes many of the world’s foremost automotive OEM's and their suppliers. 
 

Mr. Chris Domin, Technical Director

Chris has over two decades of management, leadership and technical experience in embedded real-time systems for the automotive, military, aviation and telecommunications industries.  He has presented technical papers at international conferences and has a broad systems engineering background.  His relentless focus is on helping MicroMax's clients establish efficient best practices for design, development, and validation & verification of their products and processes.  Chris holds a BSEE degree from Michigan State University.
 

Mr. Larry Thiede, Senior Account Manager

Larry joined the MicroMax team in 2000.  He leverages his thirty years of experience in sales, service, and management in the fields of automotive engineering and medical software systems to find the most cost-effective, quality solutions for MicroMax's clients.  Larry studied medical technology and business administration at Wayne State University.
 

Mr. Shannon Barber, Senior Software Architect

Shannon has over a decade of engineering and real-time programming experience for automotive, testing, and military technical corporations.  His background has led to innovative PC-based and embedded solutions and technology development for MicroMax's clients.  Shannon holds a dual BS degree from Lawrence Technological University in Mathematics and Computer Science.
 

Mr. Jim Verploegh, Engineering Manager

As the newest member of MicroMax's management team, Jim has considerable experience in program and project management for highly technical and complex products and projects.  He contributes significant knowledge of managing a wide variety of software development activities and expertise in building a cohesive organization of talented and committed personnel.  Jim received two BS degrees from Michigan Technological University, and an MBA from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.
